Spiritual Life

Discovering God’s Unique Plan for Our Lives

Providence is a Christ-centered community, and we hold a deep commitment to our Christian mission. We are guided by Jesus’ teaching to love and serve, and these values are reflected throughout our school. Along with teaching them about the nature of God, our goal is for each student to develop a deeper relationship with their creator through devotions, prayer, weekly chapel services, and showing Christ’s love in action through service.

Increasing their faith through weekly chapel services.

All students participate in an exciting contemporary weekly chapel service featuring special speakers, local youth pastors, community leaders, and student participation. In alignment with our mission statement, our student-led chapel services are key to spiritual growth and development. It is our goal to develop Godly leaders who engage in their culture and change it.

Bible and Prayer

Prayer in School Every Day

At Providence, Bible is part of the curriculum, and students are encouraged to develop a personal relationship with Christ while internalizing the principles of the Bible as they are taught throughout the day. Every day and every class begins with prayer.

Retreats

Time Away for Growth and Encouragement

Our middle and high school students are students participate in off-campus spiritual retreats. These weekend retreats give students allow students to take a break from their regular academic routine and reflect on their spiritual journey. Through personal introspection, group discussions, and fun activities aimed at fostering fellowship, students develop a deeper understanding of Christ’s teachings and love. Each retreat is specially made for each grade level to meet students right where they are in their spiritual and developmental journeys.

Missions

Showing Christ’s Love by Serving Others

From early childhood, students at Providence are taught to show Christ’s love in action. From kindergarten through 12th grade, students participate in community service opportunities on and off campus to reach out through giving, building, and other special projects. Our high school students have the chance to participate in a global missions project.
