Administration has been closely monitoring Tropical Storm Debby and the expected impacts to our area. To ensure the safety of our families and faculty, we are cancelling tomorrow’s Lower School Orientation and Upper School Curriculum Night and rescheduling them at the same times this Thursday, August 8. All athletic activities are cancelled tomorrow as well. Senior banners are being rescheduled. Senior Retreat is still currently proceeding as scheduled.
Lower School parents, please either come in the building on Wednesday morning to pick-up your Carline Tags or make a tag to display from your rearview mirror with your student’s teacher’s name and your last name for carline pick-up. All tags not picked up in the morning will be sent home with the student to be used from that point.
As we start school during the hurricane season, please note, Providence will follow Duval County’s school closures. HOWEVER, we will NOT necessarily follow Duval County’s reopening after inclement weather. Duval County schools serve as community shelters during inclement weather and the Duval County schools cannot reopen as quickly as we can. Please monitor your email, text messages, and the school’s website for closing and reopening information. This is a good time to confirm through your FACTS account that the school has the most accurate phone numbers and emails for your family.
