School Closure Update

We have been closely monitoring Tropical Storm Helene. Due to its expected forecast to become a hurricane and its projected path, Providence School and Preschool will be closed this Thursday and Friday. Students in grades K-12 will have asynchronous learning days and will have assignments to complete at home. Students in grades 6-12 should take home their laptops and any valuables tomorrow. Students in K-5 will be given assignments to take home tomorrow. Extended Day will remain open until 6pm Wednesday. The school campus, including athletic fields, will be on a hard lockdown after Wednesday night and there will be no access to the building or campus facilities until cleared and communicated through the Head of School. There will be no athletics or extracurricular activities on campus on Thursday. Athletics may resume on Friday as each area is cleared and will be communicated through the Athletic Department, however, the Friday football game in Orlando is proceeding as scheduled. We anticipate being open for school on Monday but will continue to provide updates and details about reopening through Prov Alerts and email. The safety of our students and families is of utmost importance. We are praying for our families and all those who are in the path of the storm.

Praying for the Lord to speak and calm the storm!
