Join us as our 3rd-5th grade students collaborate to bring you “A Shepherd’s Story” sponsored by Michael Nickas-State Farm Agent. This musical celebrates the true meaning of Christmas – the birth of Jesus. In the second chapter of the book of Luke, the angels appeared to the shepherds who were keeping watch over their flocks by night. The sky was filled with light and an angel began to speak of the birth saying, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of the great joy that will be for all people. Today in the city of David, a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord.” The story is told by six shepherds and is woven throughout the musical presentation. Familiar favorites include, “Angels We Have Heard on High,” “Away in a Manger,” and “O Come, Let Us Adore Him.”
