The Servo Stallions, a FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC) team from Providence High School, earned a bid to the Florida state robotics tournament during the regional competition held in Jacksonville, FL.
The two-day event included presenting team innovation projects and engineering plans to judges, demonstrating collaborative teamwork and competing in five robot game runs and three additional tournament matches. Twenty-nine teams faced off in the tournament, including FTC teams.
With support from coaches Bob Holcomb and Wade Smith, the Servo Stallions received a third-place finish in the tournament and a third-place inspire award.
The FTC Florida State Championships will be held in Winter Haven, FL on February 28-March 1.
