We have seen over 100 decisions to follow Jesus or rededicate their lives to Him. Everyday of the Spiritual Emphasis Week we have seen students make choices to advance their walk with the Lord, from a desire to join a church youth group or small group Bible study to signing up to get baptized. The Holy Spirit is moving in the lives of our students and Providence families. He is using this Spiritual Emphasis week to open doors for many of our families to have great conversation about the Lord at home as well.
For the first time, Thursday we joined a simulcast with Trinity Christian and University Christian were a timely message was given by Algernon Tennyson. He is based out of northern Georgia and has a ministry rescuing young ladies from the dangers of sex trafficking. His message to our students was focused completely on the saving power of God grace through Jesus.
Friday Pastor Clayton Baird of Legacy Church in St Augustine challenged our students to examine what type of vessel are we in God Kingdom. As a child of God, we also in turn are called to be a light to the world and let the Lord use the unique talents and abilities He has given us to be a blessing to others and show the God kind of love to everyone we encounter.
